Warranty and Returns

Satisfying our customers is a business philosophy that we respect, practice, and is emphasised in our business.

Extended Warranty on System Purchased:

Extended Warranty can be purchased at time of purchase of a new computer, for a period of 1 or 2 years. Extended Warranty covers the labour/travel time to carry out the repair on the unit, It does not cover the cost of failed components. If the component is still under Manufacturer Warranty, Moana Computer Sales & Service will replace the faulty component and seek remuneration from the Manufacturer. If the Item is out of warranty then replacement will be made at cost of the failed component and no Labour/Call Out Fee is charged.

Warranty Claims

For all warranty claims, in the first instance please contact the Manufacturer. In most cases they will provide you with details of their closest Approved Service Centre who will provide you with a speedy repair and return. Need to Return a product?

To return a product to Moana Computer Sales & Service, you'll need to request a Return Authorisation (RA) number. This can be done by contacting us at service@moanacomputersales.com.au. NO returns of any type will be accepted without an RA.

To request an RA:

We'll need the following information to authorise your return:
- Customer name
- Invoice number
- Item serial number(s)
- Please provide us with as much information as possible in regards to problem/fault.

Please note that returns that are damaged due to poor packaging/shipping will not be accepted.

In general, Moana Computer Sales & Service accepts returns on merchandise from select manufacturers within 30 days, however Moana Computer Sales & Service reserves the right not to accept product  for warranty repair, replacement or refund if  any of the following are found to be the cause of return which will void any warranty/return and normal service fees will apply:

  • User abuse or error.
  • Incorrect choice of product.
  • Damage to product.
  • Incompatible software.
  • Incorrect software installation.
  • Unauthorised warranty work.
  • Seals broken or serial numbers missing on products.
  • Virus, Trojan or Worm infection.
  • No fault(s) found.
  • Warranty on most products is covered by distributor and/or manufacturer and some delays in repair/replacement may occur which are beyond our control.
  • REFUNDS WILL NOT  BE GIVEN, PRODUCTS WILL  BE REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY OR REPLACED.
  • ORIGINAL SHIPPING CHARGES ARE NOT REFUNDED ON RETURNED ITEMS. Customers are responsible for all shipping charges back to Moana Computer Sales & Service on returned items, and Moana Computer Sales & Service will pay the shipping charges on the replacement or exchange item(s) going back.
  • Returned item(s) should be returned by Courier/Registered Post. Moana Computer Sales & Service will not be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur during transit.

Returns within 30 days from invoice date can be for exchange, replacement  at Moana Computer Sales & Service discretion. Please be aware that specific manufacturers have more restrictive return policies.

Moana Computer Sales & Service will not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage resulting in the use of purchased equipment in conjunction with any other products/equipment.
